Pierre Pruvost (born in Amiens on February 15, 1921 and died in Antibes on February 8, 2008.  French painter, who won the Fénéon prize in 1951, and the same year the Abd-el-Tif prize, which allowed him to reside for two years in Algeria where he painted a lot in Kabylie, Béjaïa (Candle at the time), in Tipaza, and in the Far South of Algeria; recognized colourist painter, member of the Salon d'Automne.
